This video made me CRY. Because it’s true. Being young is a terrible excuse as to why we don’t treat our parents better than we should. We’re human, so of course we’re going to argue and have disagreements. But we have to understand that they talk to us the way they do because they love and care about us. Not all of us are blessed with such parents.
I see this in myself. I have such difficulty to really treat my mom better. I am getting older, and I think that’s the main reason why I act the way I do with my mom is because she’s so overprotective. But she’s only overprotective because I didn’t have a father growing up. I have to keep pushing myself to understand her. I try my hardest to not talk back when we argue, and just listen instead. We have two ears and one mouth for a reason. Treat your parents right. And “take care of what takes care of you”, because you never really know what you have until it’s gone.
